It's been another amazing year, one in which Design Cabin saw the birth of it's first Cabin Baby (Adam's) and just recently received the news of another on the way (Brandyn's)!!
Aside from these exciting additions, we've had an otherwise fantastic year working with our long-time clients as well as forging relationships with new ones.
We're excited to see what 2013 is going to bring on and look forward to a productive, creative, happy & healthy new year.

On October 12, 2012, the Ontario SPCA was awarded the 2012 Summits for Urban Animal Strategies Program Award in Communications for their outstanding performance with their No Hot Pets campaign.
Design Cabin is proud to have worked in partnership with the Ontario SPCA in putting this campaign together and raising awareness about the dangers of leaving pets in cars during our hot summers.

As designers, we have a touch of "design A.D.D."... We can't really look at anything for too long without thinking of ways we could make it different, and hopefully, better. The goal with our website has always been to keep things simple and straight-forward. We want to give the viewer an idea of our design sensibilities without convoluting the process of learning about us and viewing our portfolio.
Anyways, we tend to always think of the site as a work in progress, and therefore will likely to continue to make changes here and there, but the bones of the site will stay as is.

This weekend over 500 walkers and their canine friends converged on Coronation Park in Toronto to participate one of 13 Friends For Life walk-a-thons taking place throughout the province in support of the Ontario SPCA.
The walk was a tremendouns success and Design Cabin is proud to work together with the Ontario SPCA in the promotion of animal welfare and the fight against animal cruelty.

We've just closed out another regular season with the Toronto Rock... We produced 8 home game Official Programs for the Rock, and we're grateful for the opportunity to work with Toronto's only pro sports perennial playoff team. Meaning, they're the only Toronto team to consistently make it to the post-season, no thanks to the Raptors, Blue Jays, TFC, nor Leafs. There's still a lot of lacrosse left to play, so best of luck to the Rock, and hopefully they stay atop of the league again, and win their 7th NLL Champion's Cup!

We've been hard at work for the past several months designing the front-end of the new Ontario SPCA website. Working collaboratively with the OSPCA and internet solutions gurus User In Mind, we've come up with a site that looks amazing, functions great, and in our opinion, sets a new standard for animal welfare organizations on the web.

We're celebrating 5 years of collaboration with 4Front Media, who we work with to produce a bunch of different magazines and publications. Here's to many more years of working together!
This year, Design Cabin celebrated the holidays at one of Ontario's best kept secrets; Mono Cliffs Inn. It may seem out of the way and kinda in the middle of nowhere, but trust us, it's worth the drive. We booked our company Christmas party in the wine cellar for the 2nd year in a row, and have decided to make it a Cabin tradition. Great food, friendly staff, and one of the most extensive single malt scotch selections we've ever seen. Go there!
Looking for a unique way to present yourself or your staff? Vector portraits are a great way to put a face to the name. Vector graphics use geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygons, which are all based on mathematical expressions, to represent images in computer graphics. The benefit is; they can be scaled indefinitely for any application without loss of quality or sharpness. So, business cards, websites, posters, even a billboard if you want - one small file can be used for any/all of these. But the main thing is; they look really awesome. You should get one.
We just realized; June marks one year since the formation of Design Cabin! Feels like only yesterday... Anyways, we just wanted to say thanks to everyone we've worked with/for, and we look forward to many more years of creative collaboration!
